St Lawrence College is a boarding and day school located on the British coast, with London 75 minutes away and Gatwick and Heathrow under 2 hours away. It is renowned for its pastoral care and excellence on the sports field. St Lawrence College is also a ‘High Performance Learning World Class School’.

Mr Barney Durrant is the current Head of College. Prior to his appointment as Head of St Lawrence College, Mr Durrant was Principal Deputy Head at a leading International School in Hong Kong, where he served for almost 8 years. Mr Durrant studied at University College London, before completing his Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Cambridge.

Founded in 1879, St Lawrence College provides a first-class education for boys and girls from 3 to 18 years. Located on the Kent coast, within easy walking distance of the sea, we are a private school set in a safe, spacious campus housing boarding and day pupils from local, UK and international families.

We ensure pupils attain their personal best academically, whilst preparing them for life in a rapidly changing global society. Modern facilities combined with traditional values based on our Christian roots draw out the talents of each pupil.

Strong pastoral care, high quality teaching and a great emphasis on extra-curricular activity make this a very special community in which to live and learn.

The happy atmosphere, the friendly familiarity that exists between staff and pupils, and the politeness that they see around them, always strikes visitors to the School. Pupils thrive in an environment, which is friendly and calm yet disciplined and purposeful. We firmly believe that if young people feel secure, valued and properly guided, they will not only enjoy their schooldays but will fulfil their potential both in and out of the classroom.
