A very warm welcome to St Edmund’s College and Prep School.
Having been raised in a Service family myself, I have a personal interest in giving all Service Personnel’s children a special experience here at the College. It is incredibly important to offer a ‘home from home’ environment for all of our students and we do this by providing outstanding pastoral care, ensuring that all students develop into confident, caring and well-grounded individuals.
Steeped in a rich Catholic history, St Edmund’s College and Prep today uses that history as a platform to offer a forward thinking education, encompassing leading teaching and learning standards. I am immensely proud of St Edmund’s College and its long, rich affiliated history and I hope that you take the opportunity to visit us soon. You can be assured of a very warm welcome.

We have been educating students for over 450 years and want our pupils to be excellent but never arrogant; ambitious but never selfish; robust but never uncaring; to show conviction but never intolerance. We believe in the education of the whole person; mind, body and spirit. Our daily timetable embraces academic and co-curricular challenges, which include sports, the arts and CCF to name a few, which support the development of our students to gain the qualifications, values and skills they need to be University, work and life-ready. Our Catholic heritage and ethos underpin all that we do. Everyone is welcome at St Edmund’s, whatever their religious views or beliefs, as long as they appreciate the Catholic values that are important to us. Our boarding community is a strong, cohesive family and includes students aged 11 to 18, from Britain and all over the world who enjoy the excellent facilities and grounds that make St Edmund’s College such a wonderful place to live and be educated.
