Sherfield is a leading co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 3 months to 18 years. Occupying over 76 acres of stunning parkland in Sherfield-on-Loddon in Hampshire, we enjoy modern classrooms and facilities in a beautiful manor house dating back to the 12th century. Sherfield students are passionate, ambitious, enterprising and innovative problem solvers. They develop in confidence, resilience and resourcefulness, growing strong, self-assured and motivated by each Sherfield experience.

Head's Welcome

I warmly welcome you to Sherfield school. As a school community, we challenge, inspire and support each other as we create and imagine our best futures. We know and care for each other and foster an environment where students and staff feel supported whilst building strong and ambitious futures.’

From the moment your child enters our outstanding nursery, they will start to develop their social and learning skills within our warm and nurturing school environment.

As they progress through the Prep and Senior schools, the children start to develop rigorous academic skills and enjoy world-class sports, arts and music programmes. With our small class sizes and bespoke learning, we regularly achieve outstanding results in academic league tables. Sixth Formers are exceptionally well-prepared by our dedicated staff for further education and gain entry into some of the best colleges and universities in the world. Regular fieldwork, sports exchanges and cultural trips round out their development and this integrated education instils a lifelong love of learning and culture.

Sherfield School is always a hive of activity. Our gifted and talented student body includes many musicians, artists, county players in tennis and rugby plus national and international cycling, judo, equestrian and swimming stars. The school also plays host to many music and arts events throughout the school year, hosted in the oak panelled Liddell Room and our vibrant art gallery.

Alongside academic learning and sports, we tailor pastoral care to meet your child’s individual needs and aim to foster their unique talents and character, building confidence and respect.

And with our Grade ll listed manor house set in many acres of beautiful grounds, woods and gardens, plus a new, purpose-built playground, there are plenty of opportunities for all ages to get outside in the fresh country air.

Come and visit us to see how your child could benefit from a Sherfield School education.
