“An IB & Round Square UK island school with a global outlook”
We are an IB World School and a Round Square School. We offer GCSEs followed by three study options for Sixth Form: A Levels, IB Diploma and IB Career-related Programmes. We also offer a one year GCSE Pre Sixth Form course providing an ideal preparation for entry into the Sixth Form. We have a long tradition of welcoming international and UK boarders and children of Forces families. We have recently added two new stunning boarding houses, offering tailored, home-from home -boarding for our pupils.
We have an excellent record of academic achievement, pupils go on to study at Oxbridge, other Russell Group universities and Art, Music and Drama colleges. At Ryde we embrace our Island setting and extensive grounds to offer a wealth of extra-curricular options including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (three levels), CCF, competitive sports and sailing. Pupils succeed academically and are well-mannered, characterful, happy and independent; a result of Ryde School’s dynamic yet welcoming environment.
I love this school… Ryde… ticks all six boxes that really matter to me about what schools are for… positive education, coaching, the international baccalaureate, mindfulness, character and holistic education. Ryde is managing to ace the double of getting results and doing the holistic piece. Sir Anthony Seldon, former Head of Wellington College and author and co-founder of Action for Happiness.
