Bursaries Available

Scholarships are available for all Senior year groups. Scholarships are awarded on selection criteria and successful scholars are entitled to a percentage fee remission for the duration of their award. Scholars are expected to maintain high standards and committedly contribute to the life of the school in their area of expertise. A limited number of bursaries are available at Kilgraston. Parents who wish to apply for a bursary will be asked by the School to complete a Confidential Statement of Financial Circumstances form. The form is confidential and requires full information about the family’s financial circumstances, with supporting documentation.

For existing pupils, Academic Scholarships are awarded internally through scrutiny of assessment results. External applicants will be examined at their relevant level. All other scholarships are awarded through scrutiny of achievements and/or provision of a portfolio.

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, please contact Admissions for more information and an application form via admissions@kilgraston.com.

Kilgraston is a world class boarding and day school, offering education for children aged five to eighteen. We have an enviable record of academic achievement at the highest levels. Our fundamental believe is that each child must feel valued, respected and emotionally secure.

Headteacher's Welcome

We pride ourselves on knowing the pupil; here you are more than just a name, here you are part of a family.

Strong individual academic achievement is at the heart of Kilgraston but our education goes beyond the classroom. We offer our pupils an extensive extra-curricular programme. We pride ourselves on our pastoral care, having dedicated and talented staff who know pupils as individuals.

Rolling hills, unspoilt open moor, and all just 45 minutes from Edinburgh, Kilgraston is proud to offer children a stunning and safe Scottish countryside campus in which to learn and grow. Situated in 54 acres of the best Scottish parkland, we follow the Scottish Examination system of National Fives, Highers and Advanced Highers.

Our Junior School offers education for boys and girls from five to twelve. Our Senior School and Sixth Form is girls only. Our leavers go on to study at some of the best universities in the world with over half of our 2023 pupils obtaining Grade A at Higher.

We offer first-class facilities including our very own, on-site equestrian centre – the only school in Scotland. We have a stunning 25 metre indoor swimming pool, a full-sized hockey pitch, eight tennis courts, a gym and a rock-climbing wall.

The Kilgraston staff work hard to ensure that each pupil matures intellectually and personal through all their years at Kilgraston. The distinctive Kilgraston experience is designed to develop young people who have a thirst for life-long, independent learning and a vital commitment to making a real difference to the world around them.
